We've partnered with Stripe to manage all payments on our platform. Through Stripe, we collect payments on your behalf and disperse them to you securely, so you can book rentals and make money in your sleep.

You can choose to allow guests to book instantly or request to book with you based on your property and comfort level with the process. Instant bookings save you time, but “by request” bookings give you more flexibility to choose who books with you.

On Stay, you can advertise several types of properties such houses, apartments, condos, office spaces, cottages, lofts, beach houses, lake houses, tiny houses, Bed and Breakfasts and Boutique Hotels.  

When you sign up with Stay and begin the process of listing your property, the wizard will guide you through what should be included in your listing.  For guidelines regarding content that is not permitted and should not be included in your listing, please refer to the Content Policy.  

When adding photos to your listing, quality and quantity are both important.  Use a high quality camera so that you are able to get vibrant, high resolution images.  Using a wide angle lens, or taking panoramic shots are great ways to highlight the best features of your property.  

Renters typically prefer to see more photos so that they are able to get a clear idea of what a property looks like and how it is laid out, so be sure to include multiple angles and photos of spaces within the property.  When uploading photos, make sure they are at least 1024 by 683 to ensure clarity, and not more than 20mb in size.  Also note, that since photos are shown in landscape mode in search results, vertical photos will not show up well.

If you set your listing style to "By Request", you can control exactly who is renting your property.

This setting can be enabled under House Rules.

To change your listing style:


1. Start by clicking on your Profile icon from the Stay homepage.

2. Click on Host Dashboard. You will now be able to see your listing(s).

3. Select the Menu Option (which looks like three dots) beside the desired listing.

4. Click on Edit. You should now be able to see a list of categories to edit, including House Rules.

5. Click on the arrow beside House Rules to get set the listing style to "By Request".



As a Host, you can also set the Guest Verification Tier in the House Rules:



Different Tiers

Tier 1: Guest has Phone and Email verified

Tier 2: Guest has supplied ID and has been face-matched

Tier 3: Guest has 5 completed bookings and 4+ ratings
